Epiphany Tanka
It occurs to me
blue orchids are guilty
ragged petals of lake
confess small, tidy details
read into each breath I take

Haiku and Tanka often informed by my twin obsessions Art and clothes.
Ever so tender and delicate. Many thanks for such a wonderful haiku.
ReplyDeleteAnd as for confusing me for a woman, never mind, that happens. My son and I went to a bike shop recently to buy a helmet (for my son) and the guy at the counter said to another customer: 'Let me sort out this lady and her daughter and I'll be with you in a second'. The 'lady' and her 'daughter' were my son and I. We both cracked up whilst the guy's face displayed several shades of red. :-)
Greetings from London.
Wonderful description in this.
ReplyDeleteDear CubaninLondon,
ReplyDeleteThat's hilarious! And I'm sure you are
both very handsome. You have a wonderful
sensibility, which is what draws me to your
blog. I don't normally read essay blogs,
however your blog is important as well as
enlightning.
Thank you for the compliment on my haiku.
Marie

Dear Dee,
ReplyDeleteOrchids do have a distinct personality.
Each one more beautiful than the next, and
seem to hold a story within their beauty.
Thank you.
